NYU-Business-SchoolThe NYU Stern School of Business promotes their MBA program as “An education in possible”, with a heavy emphasis on collaboration and interpersonal communication.

Learning and leadership-building experiences outside the classroom are nearly as important at Stern as coursework.

From the two-week LAUNCH program that kick starts every MBA student’s NYU Stern experience to the block lunches, core study groups, MBA challenge, and first-year career development Fridays, education at Stern goes way beyond the book.

NYU Stern Business School Profile

Global experiences at Stern tend to be short highlights rather than extensive, immersive experiences. There are certainly global learning opportunities to take advantage of: semester-length study abroad programs, one-week spring break trips organized by the International Club, and a “Doing Business In…” program that offers one- to two-week between-semester courses in locations around the world.

For the most part, global opportunities for students at NYU Stern come as much from experiencing the diversity of the business world within New York City as from exploring the world beyond.

With a campus located in the heart of one of the most vital marketplaces in the West, as well as top-notch faculty and speakers that offer a wealth of experience, everything you need to succeed in business is available at NYU Stern.

Curriculum Overview

For the first year at Stern School of Business, all students are required to take Financial Accounting & Reporting and Statistics and Data Analysis. Second-year students have far more opportunities for customization, with over 300 elective classes to choose from as well as the option to take classes at many other NYU graduate schools.

Students can select up to three specializations to focus on, from a list of 24 including Accounting, Finance, Digital Marketing, Social Innovation and Impact, and Supply Chain Management and Global Sourcing.
